In 2006, we extended our passion to begin making our own hand crafted wines and started entering our wines in competition in Santa Cruz and Orange Counties and with the American Wine Society. Since that first vintage in 2006, nearly every wine we have entered has won an award, including Double Gold, Gold, Silver and Bronze -- for which we are very appreciative and very proud.
Our family has homes in San Jose and Los Angeles, CA and in London England. The primary winery in San Jose is where our production is. There we make a wide variety of wines from California grapes.
And in 2018-19, we made small quantities of hand crafted wines from grapes grown in Kent, England, when they had a long hot summers and a bounty of fruit.
We share our passion with wine makers and wineries around the world and every year we do a trek to different wine regions. In the last year, that has included Malta, Croatia and Sardinia, Italy.
Come join our passion!
We grow a small amount of our own grapes on the family property in Santa Clara County -- Zinfandel, Merlot and a native American Hybrid named Rodgers Red.

But, we mostly source grapes from professional vineyards all over California and for the first time, from Kent, England. We work with growers in advance of the harvest to line up opportunities that might fit our targets for type of grape and date of ripening. We prefer wines which are in the range of 13-15% ABV and therefore we target Brix readings of 25-27+. Our family often comes together for the harvest, which are picked into our own macro bins.
Crushing is then done at the winery in San Jose where we ferment to dryness and then press and age in a variety of American, French, Hungarian, and Italian oak barrels. Since we are not under pressure to get wines to market, we can age in progressively more neutral barrels for many years as we wish.
After careful racking, preserving and monitoring our wines, we bottle when we think the wine is ready -- never before. And, as with harvest, the bottling is a family and friends affair!
We've had the pleasure of making some very nice wines from all over California and even, for the first time in 2018/19 from Kent, England. Here is a list of the red varietals and their town or AVA

Our blends have been made from the varietals above including these names:
We are also working to perfect dry Rose's. Our first vintages were rose's from Petite Syrah, Mourvedre and Pinot Noir, and then later included Cabernet Franc, Montepulciano, Grenache, Tannat and Teroldego.
For our 2024 Harvest we sourced grapes from the family estate and from private vineyards in Escalon, San Joaquin AVA and Palos Verdes AVA. The varieties were Viognier, Petite Sirah, Grenache, snd Syrah.
All the grapes were picked at minimum of 23Brix, crushed, sulfited and then innoculated with selected yeasts within 24 hours

From each of the above, we used the Sangre method to extract must to make s Grenache Rose along with three robust red wines and our first white wine.
In total, we were able to make 6 wines from the 2024 harvest.
We also bottled the 2023 Roses. We also bottled two different GSM blends which are were barrel-aged as blends for 12 months.
We also bottled the 2nd half of our 2019 Cabernet Franc, which aged a further two years in neutral oak compared to the the first half of that vintage
